Q. What are your showroom hours?
Our showroom is open from 10am through 5:30 pm, Monday through Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays. Check the map quest link for directions, too!
Q. Do you sell anything in stock?
Unfortunately, no. Our blinds, shades and draperies, and hardware are all custom made and/or custom ordered.
Q. Well then, what DO you sell?
We are completely devoted to custom window coverings, along with bedding and pillows. No paint, glass, flooring, or other home furnishings. This leaves us free to offer you the best selection in Westchester of all HunterDouglas, Graber, Prestige, Nanik, Kirsch, and Horizon, just to name a few. Our extensive fabric library includes most name brands also.
Q. How long does it take to order and receive the finished products?
Generally, we can schedule the shop at home appointment within a day or two. Most blinds and shades are installed within 2–3 weeks. Some imported products take a bit longer. Draperies are approximately 4–6 weeks, depending on the season. The most important feature is that (1) all orders are processed promptly (2) we enter your order on line directly to most of our vendors’ data entry systems.
Q. Do you come to my area?
We offer shop at home service throughout Westchester County. We also travel to parts of Connecticut, Putnam, Rockland and Manhattan. Please call for details.
Q. Should we come in to the showroom prior to our shop at home appointment?
While you are always welcome to visit, it is not essential for you to come in first. In fact, in our company’s early days, we had not yet opened our first showroom. Our general rule of thumb is this; if you are somewhat familiar with available products, have a general design idea in mind and are ready to proceed with your selection, it is fine to bypass the showroom. Go ahead and schedule your appointment; we’ll help you to finalize your selection during your shop at home appointment. However, if you prefer to see, touch, learn more about what is available, compare pricing, and shop at your leisure, then, by all means, come on in first.
Q. Is there a charge for the shop at home appointment?
No, there is never a charge. And there is no obligation to make a purchase either. We built our business on the philosophy of free shop at home and plan to stay that way. We never want our customers to feel pressured or hesitate to invite us in to their home. If we do our job right, then you’ll buy from us. Our extremely high sales success rate indicates we must be doing something right!
Q. Will you help me with my selection?
Absolutely, it is our JOB to help you make the right functional and most stylish aesthetic choice for your windows.
Q. Can my blinds be mounted inside? Or outside? Or will they block light? Or will they give me privacy? Or are they washable?

Q. May I supply my own fabric?
Certainly, and we’ll advise you how many yards you will need once we have measured. There are some restrictions, however, in working with already made products.
Q. Does the purchase price include installation?
Yes! And whenever a quote is given, by phone, in the showroom, or at home, the quote is always inclusive of the installation.
Q. Who does your installations?
Our installers are our own salaried employees. Their schedule is made through the showroom and we are wholly responsible for all work done. Our customers know that the buck stops right at Jeff and Diane’s desk!
Q. What warranty comes with my purchase?
You will receive both the manufacturer’s warranty and our own. Please see the warranty and repair section under “Services” for more details.
Q. Do you do repairs?
Yes! Again, please see the warranty and repair section under “Services”.
Q. Will you install blinds I already have?
Generally, no. However, please contact us with your specific needs.
Q. Can I buy the blinds from you and install them myself?
Absolutely! In fact, we’ve shipped directly to many remote locations, from Martha’s Vineyard to Florida and places in between. Come in with your exact measurements, and we’ll help you. Jeff’s background in mail order is a perfect match for doing this easily.
